The U.S. Navy selected Varada Defense to modernize key command spaces within U.S. Third Fleet's Maritime Operations Center, transforming legacy infrastructure into a turnkey command environment supporting operations across approximately 50 million square miles of the Pacific.

Operating at that scale involves more than geographic complexity. Command teams must plan and coordinate across systems, classification levels, and organizational boundaries. The modernization addressed fragmented communications and disconnected workflows to improve collaboration among Third Fleet, U.S. Pacific Fleet, and other Department of Defense mission partners.

As prime contractor and systems integrator, Varada led the modernization of the War Room and two Operations Planning Team spaces. The team integrated networks, applications, communications, and supporting infrastructure into a secure, interoperable architecture for multi-domain operations, with a focus on improving efficiency, usability, connectivity, and the overall user experience. Through this software-defined approach, Varada delivered a more adaptable command environment capable of evolving with mission requirements and technologies.

Working directly with command personnel, Varada designed the solution around operational requirements and how teams plan, brief, and coordinate missions. The modernization was executed in phases to minimize disruption to ongoing C3F operations, while incorporating security throughout design and delivery, validating system performance before deployment, and carrying the effort through operational handoff.

The result is a resilient command environment that supports continuous, multi-classification operations and real-time collaboration across the fleet and its mission partners. Together, these improvements strengthen fleet-level situational awareness, mission planning, and decision-making.
